No I have not seen the new movie yet but I grew up with the first one in 1988. However, all of the hype has gotten me excited enough to watch the first one as well as enjoy the animated series.

There's a new one?

Is Winona in it?

Yes, and yes. It has several members of the original cast. Also Jenna Ortega.

Due to a mishap in buying tickets online for the wrong date, I couldn't see it last weekend so I have to wait until this weekend to see it.

I don't really remember the first one.
I only saw it once back when it was in theatres, but I liked it.
I love Winona.

Yep she sure is.

Anyway, I will tell you how obsessed I am

I watched the 1st movie a few times, hung out with other BJ fans during a convention over Labor Day Weekend, drank the BJ limited edition fanta, which tastes like a fall scented candle, imidated BJ, and watched a few animated episodes of BJ.

Hmmm.

I might have to watch it again and see the new one.

The animated series is better than the movie in my opinion and it was executively producted by Tim Burton which makes me happy. Actually, I just found out that Burton has an autism diagnosis which is why I like BJ. He acts very much like a character on the spectrum.

Same.
For some reason I have zero nostalgia for the franchise though. :|
