Yep, I have a happy crew, too. (All of my kiddos are ASD, and I have several, all under 20 years of age.)

Don't know how much it has to do with genetics or environment, though. My husband and I are both very kind and slow to anger, and the kids' temperaments reflect those traits. We're also a homeschooling family, so bullying is kept at or near zero. We haven't yet pursued any formal therapy or medication for anyone, since everything's pretty peaceful, for the most part (my husband currently struggles with coping with our oldest son's stimming, but the kids themselves spend a lot time being happy). We only experienced two very brief, mildly violent outbursts from our oldest son as a mid-teen (no one was hurt, and he cried immediately afterward, obviously sorry for losing control), which isn't too bad, since testosterone has a way of making itself known in stressful situations, especially for teen boys. That was a few years ago.

We have our struggles (who doesn't?), but mostly, we're a fairly happy bunch.
