We are looking forward to seeing the Matlock reboot when it premieres later this year.
Kathy Bates is the new Matlock.

I heard about the reboot! I will definitely have to watch it when it comes out :)
I just saw an ad for it. It premieres Sept 22 on CBS.

At the end Nixon morphs into Humphrey Bogart as Captain Queeg (Herman Wouk's fictional psychotic US Navy captain) in the movie "The Caine Mutiny".

Kathy Bates, I liked her in Fried Green Tomatoes. Will be interesting to see her as a lawyer.

Cathy Bates has quite a range.

She played a crazed fan of a Stephen King type author, played by James Caan, whom she kidnaps and keeps imprisoned in her home...in the movie based on the Stephen King novel of the same title: "Misery".

This is tough. I like the old Perry Mason, but I also like Matlock (even before I got older).

Monk is very good.

Kathy Bates as Matlock is interesting. I've only seen one episode. Enough to know she has secrets, but why? Oh. We learn that in the closing scene of episode one.
