When you get something new, do you wash it first? You can't wash everything, but maybe Clorox wipes will clean it good. I got a back pillow from Amazon, the one that sit up & has arm rest & a neck pillow.

I don't usually wash things I buy before using them. But I suppose it's not a bad idea.

I wash vegetables when I get them home to reduce pesticides.
I wash new clothes to get rid of chemical smells.
That's about it.

I washed the new Hello Kitty coffee mug I bought today, but I don't usually wash most things when I bring them home. Clothes, maybe. I don't normally wash fruits or vegetables until I get ready to eat them.

When the covid pandemic began I thought I would have to spray nearly everything I bought with Lysol, but I think the stuff is worse than germs, usually.

It's shocking the amount of hands that touches a product before it comes into your home.
Oddly enough, I've never considered "washing" a newly purchased pillow. I may start doing that now.
