Church Estate Planning
Hi yall,
I have become aware that some churches offer to help with the estate planning needs of their elderly members like the Baby Boomer and Silent Generation and Greatest Generation members.I think my church does end-of-life- planning seminars.I have heard horror stories that the churches have lawyers put language in the will and/or trust of the elderly that their home and some or all of their money goes to the church upon their passing instead of the kids
I would be beside myself if my church got all of my parents money.Thankfully they have already taken care of their estate plan before the church got involved.I heard the Mormon church is real big into estate planning for their elderly members.Have any of yall heard of "free" church estate planning for elderly members? Some churches will get their members to do life estates where all of their assets pass to the church upon their passing.
