Single mom syndrome
Well I don't earn as much as him, so the changes in family budget haven't changed much since I'm not a drinker and his alcoholism no longer applies to budget. At first we had to dodge the rentals in some areas as it was tricky, but now that things have come right, I wish I'd divorced sooner. This isn't a bash him thread, it's to all single parents, but I've noticed it's mostly women. Men you are welcome and we'd love to hear from dad who dealt with this.
Then my 25hr day, well it initially became a 28hr day due to up n down with diagnosis and speech but it's settled down and now that I have my foundations and routine, my gosh, I actually find a few moments more for me time. And it's not to do my nails although, after cleaning house I needed to sort out my long toe nails. It's time to recharge my batteries so I'm fresh, patient and ready to be super-mom, or rather a bit short of super but very dedicated and learnt long hours of no me time. Gosh could I ever forget new born and dropping them at gran, wow feeling of having half day off.
