Competing with my friends

I have 2 friends at the moment who I am very fond of and we some great nights out. Sadly there is this new guy who they know who is now on our whatsapp group. In a way I feel like I have to compete against him for my friends affection and get jealous when they have conversations on whatsapp.

Any advice on this? My 2 friends are a couple (boyfriend and girlfriend).
