they have enough states now in the red column to do a constitutional convention where Christianity will likely be declared the official mandatory religion here, forget about the first amendment and women/colored folk being able to vote anymore.
A Constitutional Convention would be a big mistake. Once they call that, they lose control of the entire process. There is no guarantee that they would be able to control it.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that this could be the end of the US.
I would say that it's fairly likely that it is the end of the US as we know it. With stuff like Project 2025 combined with Trump's talk of going after his enemies, it's fair to speculate that we're going down a dark road that could end up being like Russia (where elections are not real, where actual opposition politicians or even people speaking in opposition get taken out. MMW, the right would still claim that they're free speech while taking out people for speaking out. This is exactly the kind of Orwellian nonsense I'm used to from them) and could end up being a theocracy which would knock us way down in so many metrics.
As for if the empire collapses, there is civil war, etc. I don't know about that. If the people voted for this monster, I can't see the latter happening. I mean, what are the state governments going to fight over? Will a blue state really fight with the federal government over cutting funding because they legalize abortion? TBH, I see the blue states throwing our rights under the bus before causing any such tension. Both scenarios are scary and not at all out of the realm of possibility...

I live in Colorado, so idk we will see if the Federal Government wants to go to battle with us. But Idk we were the first state to legalize marijuana for medicinal and recreational, so idk we could be a first to just give the feds the ole finger if they try to restrict abortion rights here or do any of their gross 2025 project, point being yes I think blue states could fight back perhaps.

Alright, relax. Calm down.
I am a Democrat. It will be ok.
America will not collapse. It won't be the end of democracy.

Mm. Not feeling very confident.
I did some reading and research on the subject on how democracies fail/have failed around the world and throughout history and we are in a really bad place. Like everything has gone wrong at so many different levels. This is a very serious situation.

Remember, last time Trump won he did almost none of what he promised. When he was running in 2016 he promised he would balance the budget. Didn't do it.
Well, he did quite enough to do massive damage. He got in three Supreme Court justices who have already taken down Roe v Wade and granted a lot of immunity to presidents.
Importantly, the Heritage Foundation's (the Project 2025 people) previous agenda for Trump's first term when no one was prepared and Trump's team was not fully "loyal" was fulfilled to like 64%. Fulfilling even a small fraction of Project 2025 would be disastrous, and given everything we know, much more than that is going to be fulfilled.
You can try to hope for the best, but we can't pretend that things aren't looking very dire.
Quote:
If he tries to do his agenda he will face heavy push back from Republicans in farm states that rely on Mexican labor.
Do you really think that Trump will face push back from Republicans? Seriously. I don't want to be rude here, but it's just been so obvious that the Republicans have repeatedly kissed his ring over the past several years. I mean, the fact that they did nothing to him after the insurrection he incited was truly the nail in the coffin.
They won't do anything. Sorry to say.
Quote:
I say go for it - I want him to do the full agenda.
People are going to die. People are already dying.
Quote:
I also want R's to face the blowback when Americans complain about higher food costs and consumer goods costs.
But they won't. The populace knows nothing about politics or economics. This election proved that once and for all, although the evidence has been there for a very long time.
They will always blame poor economies or individual economic struggles on Democrats. The Republican party has propagandized this for so long. They control the narrative.

This isn't about promises, though.
This isn't "I promise to build a wall and Mexico will pay for it. I promise to cut taxes and bring down inflation."
This is "I don't know what Project 2025 is and I had nothing to do with Jan 6th, I am innocent!"
Actions speak louder than words. He's going to finish what he started and get his revenge on America.
Jan 6th he was angry. Now he's been convicted of numerous felonies, drained of any money he may or may not have had, lost all of his lawyers, made a laughingstock of his own party, and had attempts on his life. He is so much more dangerous now.

lol, their money isn't in their homes, it's in overseas bank accounts.
