Apparently there are reports that people of colour at universities have been receiving texts saying they've been chosen to work Alabama's cotton fields and they have an hour to get ready.

There's a growing trend of males telling women, 'Your body, my choice'.

I kinda thought they'd hold off until Felon Don took the throne.

Gosh that’s ugly. I don’t get into politics though so I wouldn’t necessarily blame peoples hatred on the president.

Yeah I read that only a few minutes ago. These scumbags should be in prison for posting that garbage. But they won't even get arrested and it's going to get worse and never get better, Unless the orange vomit clown dies very soon.

I don't get it, posting things like that is a hate crime, but these hate groups are allowed to exist without being just being tracked down and dragged away to prison. That's the American idea of freedom and free speech, I guess.

Of course the women who voted for orange vomit Hitler turd clown have no problem with this. They've been brainwashed. If they have brains to begin with.

If only they could feel the poison in my heart right now. If they could taste my heart, it would kill them.

Welp, if guys are making those threats they need aerated.

I believe the courts have already established he was coming right at me as a viable defence.

It all sounds to me like satire.

I’ve seen a post on Reddit from a woman who just experienced it from a partner, not that I’ve been on Reddit much. My ex said that to me, too, but that was a few years ago. It certainly wasn’t satire.

Racism and misogyny on online platforms/social media has been an ongoing problem, so the current situation is not that surprising to me.

Alas, they probably aren't just satire.

The anti-Black racist text messages were an anonymous, massive spam campaign, whose source the FBI has not yet tracked down. My guess would be that they came from either (1) Russian (or other foreign) government agents trying to sow division here or (2) domestic extremists who believe in "accelerationism."

The misogynistic stuff -- mainly on social media, with some in-person manifestations too -- appears to be part of a rising trend, alas.
