I'm not sure why someone would need a psychologist to figure out that they are lonely. And I think the coping techniques they suggest might sometimes be a bit of a challenge.

I only feel lonely when I'm literally surrounded by people and not when I'm alone. Because humans suck. When will they realize there's a difference between being alone and being lonely? Never.

The solutions recommended for loneliness are always to go out and be with people. If that was the solution or if that solution was available then there wouldn't be a problem in the first place. It is like telling someone who is starving from lack of food that they should just eat a sandwich.
