There were two schools of thought about a second Trump administration prior to his win.

1. Despite all the predictions of the sky falling in and fascism occurring, nothing remotely close to that happened during his first administration and it won’t happen now.

2. MAGA’s learned their lessons from the amateur chaos the first go round, fascist America here we come.

Going by the first 8 days since the election argument number two is winning hands down. A quick glance at the threads in the news section demonstrate most of the major positions have been selected and the leadership of the next Congress is taking shape. The picks unlike the traditional Republicans the first go round are heavily MAGA. This does not necessarily mean the MAGA’s can steamroll authoritarianism through the courts and state and local governments. There are always petty jealousies. It does mean there is a lot to see there, these people know what they are doing.

I would have underlined "necessarily"

And I would have said "These people THINK they know what they're doing"
