I never felt like I'm not a male, and never objected to the pronouns he/him. I'm only sensually attracted to women. But I was never comfortable with my assigned gender roles or conforming to what is generally expected from a boy or man. And for some reason, identifying as a man does feel entirely right.
I had the notion at 13 that I might like to be a girl for a change. But then I thought about my body and how it is changing and how I definitely was moving away from a girl's body. I was growing taller, my voice was deepening and so on. It seemed rather impractical and of limited benefit and certain disadvantage.
Perhaps in the future, we can download our individuality to a computer, then upload into a new body whenever the old one is used up or unsatisfactory in some way. Or perhaps we can upload into a body with both genders. I am all for it.
I do think that organic bodies are the way to go, because they are more efficient and self-sustaining than metallic robot bodies. Nothing is better than cells that can repair and replace.
