I complained about my work advisor but I feel bad

The reasons I gave for my complaint were: They asked me for passwords to my job search accounts so they can apply to jobs on my behalf. I gave them my password but felt really uncomfortable. I have since changed it. They also completely misrepresented me saying I have over 20 years experience with excel and admin in my job applications. I only have 10 years of experience. So obviously I was concerned as I don't want them applying for jobs with inaccurate information. Plus they shouldn't be agreeing to terms and conditions on my behalf when applying. So I complained. Also they were encouraging me to apply for jobs which I said I wasn't comfortable doing. I then found it hard to say no and reluctantly let her apply for receptionist roles.

I told her about the company who has an autistic hiring program, and she said are you sure you are comfortable working with autistics not fully understanding what it was for. I don't think she realised I meant I AM THE AUTISTIC who wants to apply for this hiring program.

She is new and while I understand she's just learning, I wasn't comfortable working with her. So I asked for a new advisor.

Hope I didn't do the wrong thing.

The last 20 years of one of my professional lives was in INFOSEC. I was also a CISSP and am now a CISSP-Retired.

I am very opposed to sharing my password. For any reason.

The only people who should be able to login to one of my accounts is people who can login without me sharing the password and who can unilaterally change my password so they can login to my account...and can then tell me my new password (which I change immediately!).

Don't feel bad.

At a guess, it sounds like the woman was trying to be better at her job by trying to hit targets to get people, in this case you, into work more quickly.

But she overstepped personal boundaries by asking for your password and applying for jobs on your behalf, as if you can't do that yourself?

This person deserved a complaint made against them for their behaviour towards you.

Seems like pretty solid reasons for complaining. You did nothing wrong and don't need to feel bad.

I LOL'd reading about her shenanigans. She really must be green. Well, bless her heart. Maybe she has problems of her own.
