I'm in no way religious but I get emotional particularly because the inhumane disgusting treatment of a good teacher and innocent man. If anything, Jesus was a revolutionary who defied the corrupt religious authorities of his time and was murdered for it.

I believe I saw that movie, but don't remember it. I have seen a couple of movies about Jesus, and get them a little confused sometimes. Mel Gibson took a lot of flak for making that movie, but it proved to be a huge success.

I saw it twice in theaters and own a copy on DVD. It precipitated other film and tv series projects like The Chosen with high quality costuming and strong production values.

As someone with experience as a stage actor and director I really appreciate how hard it is to make something like these projects.

My wife and I saw it when it ran in the theaters. We rather enjoyed it.
