Do you ever feel that expressing your feelings aloud, is a burden to yourself? What do your friends do if they want to know about how do you feel?

Welcome Marti...nice to have you here on Wtong Planet....In such situations as dealing with emotions....
As many Aspies as they age have found .. It is goid to mask things like that, It is hard to understand that most neurotypical individuals . Do not really normally care to dive into a discussion on your emotions ...They expect to hear the response to be ,the words fine, or i am good .....The interest is often not genuine ..? And So in saying you are fine..regardless of how you feel , is more socially acceptable. So often Autistic people in order to fit into polite society
,just go along with what is expected as the normal response. This , process, often is referred to as a sort of masking.
A standard way to indulge society, regardless of ones actual feelings . Generally saving true ecpressions of feeling for those individuals closer to them or other Aspies. Most often. Good Luck with People..!
