The assassination of an insurance company CEO
Seeing the majority of people who can be bothered voting elect to knacker public healthcare I find rather insane, and again.. peculiarly American. It would be more understandable if the everyone had shares in healthcare companies and arms manufacturers, but that would require money which it seems the general population would rather hand to billionaires than fund an effective government.
I would actually like to see a lottery with the winner getting a get out of jail free card for assassinating the CEO of their choice.
Show me some accountability in business leadership NOW !
Assassinations as a tool to enforce social responsibility don't happen in countries with some form of functioning representative government. The fact that we're starting to see assassinations should be incredibly worrisome, even if we agree that the health care system seems to run on legalized murder.
UnitedHealth Group CEO: America’s health system is poorly designed
UnitedHealth Group CEO Andrew Witty said yesterday:
"Our role is a critical role, and we make sure that care is safe, appropriate, and it’s delivered when people need it,” said Witty in a video message obtained by CNN. “And we guard against the pressures that exist for unsafe care or for unnecessary care to be delivered in a way which makes the whole system too complex and ultimately unsustainable. So we’re going to continue to make that case."
Unnecessary care is an interesting wording.

It'll be interesting to see how those Trump voters who think Obamacare and the ACA aren't the same thing react when they realize those two terms refer to the exact same thing.
The leopards are feasting.

Yes, sadly the finding out won't be limited to the people who signed up for it.

"Low information voter" implies that with more information there'd be somebody to vote for that wasn't so horrible. Just look at what Biden has been up to. He's clearly not as bad as Trump in many ways, but he's not anybody that anybody in their right mind would want in charge. And, if anything, Harris would have been an even bigger disaster.
People need to stop blaming the voters when both parties continue to push candidates that are not even remotely acceptable for the job.

Hardly anybody that the voters vote for ever go through with the stuff that the voters were expecting when it comes to anything other than more corruption and greed. It's hardly just the folks that aren't following things very closely that wind up voting for somebody that completely flips on any perceived upside there was in voting for them.

I very much disagree. Biden has been a very successful President, despite the price of groceries. And I honestly think Harris had a platform that would have helped the average American. So, yes, I do blame the fickleness of too many voters. It was only after the election that many had Googled what tariffs were!

Am NOT for anyone paying for years of healthcare insurance premiums and not getting Sound and worthwhile care from any surgeon, or Doctor ,/ medical institution . Whom is sponsored by those same respective insurance companies, whom are not allowing proper care of their customers ." Anyone" , whom in charge of their companies
paying out for previously "paid for" by contract care, that causes a interruption of , Lifegiving or life mending services.
Should immediately be removed from vtheir position and Incarcerated . Until and tried ,then remanded to the custody
of a federal prison.
And anyone that has suffered at those same companies hands should be completely eligible for any kind of victim services possibly allowed to them,
If such situations result in a psychiatric break in a otherwise normal persons motivations to how they address their lives.,Regarding these circumstances,.Needs to have any and all support offered to them under all circumstances .And paid for by the same companies creating such a situation. Such companies need federal oversight immediately.
(imagine not having enough money or talent regarding lawyering, and having your normal life destroyed by the lack of normal coverage by a insurance companys executives opinion[not medical] And your young enough but smart enough to be aware of the situation,Might react poorly too) .
Have recently learned that much financial support from many sources/people,to aide in this mans legal defence.

Biden has been pardoning people based on algorithms and not even bothering to review why they were convicted. He didn't even try to give essential workers hazard pay and barely tried to cancel student loans. He could have given everybody health care during the pandemic using ACA provisions, but chose not to.
Then there's stuff like continuing to support Israel and the fact that he's clearly not calling the shots.
So, yes, nobody in their right mind wants him. We only have him because the DNC forced him on us because they were afraid that Bernie would give people the idea that the government exists to help people.

He had accomplishments in infrastructure, in aiding Ukraine, and yes in bringing back the economy. He made insulin a great deal cheaper. No, he was hardly perfect, but he did have his victories.

They always do, but I don't think that aiding Ukraine was such a good thing for the American people, that's part of where the inflation was coming from. And, insulin represents a failure there. Other countries have every medication at affordable rates, in the US, we refuse to take steps to do so. In many countries the medicines are even paid for by the government, and here we're thrilled by the small number of medicines that they were willing to negotiate down when the US taxpayer pays roughly half the cost of R&D and could very easily make the pharma companies charge something more reasonable.
There have been a few victories, but it's an absolute embarrassment considering that nobody wanted him in the first place and he massively under-performed what Bernie would have done. He didn't even get on the press to embarrass the corporations that were profiteering off of inflation.

^^^
A powerful Russia dominating Europe and beyond isn't in anyone's interest in the free world, and standing alongside a fellow democracy is all important in that struggle, regardless of how it influences inflation.
Sure, medication should be covered by the government, but since we aren't there yet the least we could do is help out individuals whose lives are threatened without something like insulin.
While I liked Bernie, I also sincerely like Biden and Harris, and enthusiastically supported both. While neither was perfect, they might as well have been compared to Trump.
