Evening everyone! I gotta interesting topic for yous (especially for the ones that exercise to manage their mental health) Well what if I told you that instead of separating it into a structured routine, it can be second nature to perform the way nature intended for humans to rest (deep squatting, kneeling, walking or just being barefoot while standing). Even though it may still be considered rest, your muscles are still being activated by just holding a position, (which is obviously very beneficial for older folks). Thoughts?
Squatting is quite common (I am informed) in India. I believe it probably is better for the body than sitting. I think the benefit has to do with lower incidence of lower back pain. Sitting is not particularly good for the lower back.
I prefer to sit from long habit. My body has adjusted to it. When watching shows, however, I have learned to stand and pace around the living room. It keeps me from getting drowsy.
