Yes, I take my reputation very seriously. It's the principle of the matter. It's a Southern thing, I've been told. I will most definitely get argumentative over someone trying to cast aspersions on my character. I fail to see the issue with this.

I keep returning, because you keep taking trash. Your ability to "influence" others seems limited to antagonizing them into annoyance, but not much more. Congratulations, you can throw a rock at someone, and they'll go "hey! don't throw rocks!" - such influence, much powerful, very control.

Again, did you expect to be able to just accuse people of crap, and think they wouldn't push back?

And it seems you're being dishonest again.

Earlier you made a big deal about how you'd already spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on your script, but now it's not REALLY thousands, more like hundreds. And you claimed you paid for people to help improve your script, but now you're saying it was actually entry and listing fees for boards and contests. One minute you exaggerate, the next minute you downplay.

Lets not for get your amazing moving goal posts, either. It's interesting how people have to be an English major and a film industry professional to be worthy of your consideration with a negative opinion - but positive opinions are snorted up without hesitation, with zero concern for qualifications. And you keep raising the required qualifications ever time you find out that someone already meets those qualifications.

For someone who has the power to do whatever they want, you don't seem to be doing that much...

It seems like a waste of energy, but you do you. Let us know when you've proven "the haters" wrong.

Is English your native language? A genuine question. I was thinking that could account for the misunderstandings in this thread, like claims that people feel threatened when they are merely engaging with you or when you seem to read stuff into people’s tone that’s not there. Of course, that stuff could just be a variation of ad hominem, too.

Another question: have you invested much time in reading scripts?

My personal opinion is that you want to feel validated in your comments and feel that if I don't accept
what you're saying, that means in your mind that I'm adverse to criticism.

As I've said many times already, I've been open to a lot of criticism on my project. It has been revised several times.

This fact invalidates your opinion that I'm not open to criticism. Hopefully that gives you perspective.

Yes, English is my native language although I also have reading proficiency is Spanish and French. Well, my French isn’t where I’d like it to be because I’ve been slacking with it lately, but I will likely return to it soon although German has been calling to me. As a musician, I’m sure you know how wonderful Schubert’s art songs are. Do you like Winterreise? I’ve been OBSESSED with that song cycle lately.

But you are talking trash, accusing people of this and that and the other, despite the fact that as you say, you don't even know who I am. You don't know me, but you feel confident in accusing me of stuff? That implies you do know me, or at least you think you do, to be making assertions about who you think I am.

How much you've spent seems slightly relevant, in that not only has your script failed to earn money, if anything, it has cost you money. Also it's an example of your dishonesty. You've "spent thousands" when it makes you look good, but you've magically only spent "hundreds" when it looks bad. It also jibes with my previous point that in the last 12 years your script has lost you more money than I've casually earned in the last month. And I earned it while pursuing my dreams. That seems worth mentioning as well.

I like how you've falsely equated "being an adult" or "growing up" with "just let me make up nasty lies about you, and don't try to defend yourself!"

You claiming that you have been open to criticism doesn't prove anything. It's just words. Anyone can SAY anything, doesn't mean it's true. Thus far, from what we've seen here, you react very poorly to criticism. We're supposed to just take your word for it? You haven't exactly been entirely genuine in your other statements thus far, where the "facts" sort of shift and shuffle around to suit your needs in the moment - or representing opinions as "facts" simply because it's a "fact" that you happen to hold a specific opinion. Just cos the existence of a belief is factual doesn't make the belief itself factual by proxy.

I'm going to take a wild guess. My guess is that you read that entertainment law firms "negotiate contracts", and in your mind, you think that means they'll go out and find someone to buy your script.

I'm kind of torn between thinking this thread should be locked to avoid any more of this waste of the time. And going to get a Costco sized popcorn to eat while watching the train wreck.

Popcorn is probably going to win.
