Hello,

I'm going through the process of looking for affordable housing with my support worker, and I was wondering if anyone on this site has experience with government subsidized housing or other similar programs?

I live in British Columbia in Canada, so hearing from someone with information or experience in BC or Canada at large would greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

CFL

CIVIDA is an option if you are in Edmonton. You pay a discounted market rate.
The benefits you receive if you have an autism diagnosis
in Alberta - if it causes you challenges working - Alberta has the best benefits in the country.

Thanks for your input, 123autism.

I wouldn't want to immigrate from BC to Alberta just to suckle off the government teat, that simply doesn't sound right to me.

If I was able to contribute something to the local economy, I would be less guilty about accepting help in the form or housing.
