Anyone got any experience good or bad

I'm considering maybe getting some just for sport

I use the daily disposables. They are good for bicycling, gym, walking etc. I also used to use them for swimming many years ago. Some opticians don't recommend this but if you use disposables then you should be fine. I don't swim any more though.

I think that's what I'll go for but I've always been a bit scared of contacts because you have to poke them in your eyes

I wore disposable contact lenses for over 10 years.

Your optometrist will show you the right way to put them in and take them out. You put them in on the outer edge of your eye, the white part. Then they sort of make their way to the centre of your eye. You can feel it but it doesn't hurt at all.

I wore coloured contacts for a while. Grey ones were my favourite.

Something to point out - Some people find contact lenses really easy to get stated with, and some don't. When I first tried them years ago it took several visits to the optician to practise. That in mind, if you are a bit anxious about it and think you might struggle, it would be worth going to an independent optician, ideally one who charges for the consultation, as they ought to then take your time with you. Many of the chains will do a free contact lens consultation, but as you are not paying for this time they can try and rush you out.

The contact lens manufacturers do free trial packs so there's no need to worry about the cost of your first pack of lenses.

steve30, if you go swimming with contacts in but no goggles on, won't they float away? I don't know for sure because I never went swimming with contacts in.

If they float away, that could be very inconvenient if you can't see without them.

I like wearing contact lenses.

It makes that chronic exposed feelings on my eyes stop, to a point that I'm considering buying even just for cosmetics for it's sensory benefits to me.

But my lifestyle and habit isn't suitable for someone wearing contact lenses, even if getting ones that sre right for me eyes and losing this everyday weigh on my head of wearing prescription glasses.

And I never used one for sports.
I would definitely like to try having dailies though. Less hassle for maintenance and such.

I'm also moderately myopic in both eyes.

In swimming, I lucked out on getting graded lensed swimming googles.
I'm not sure if astigmatism factors can be added, too without going more expensive.

Anything else, I don't know.

I definitely would like contact lenses that can handle environments that aren't so stable nor consistently cleaner than your average road.

I've got a fear of contact lenses because you know but my mom need to wear glasses so I know them as outside.
I know how they work because I had try them and my mom was used to wear... so is a second hand acknoledge from a person I know great.
They are the best. Never wear glasses in sports like run or similar, are dangerous!! !
But great quality and well hydrated.
Obv, not in swim... I'm talking about run or yoga and stuffs like that.
