Do you live alone, and if you do, when was the last time another person other than yourself was inside where you live? For me, it was almost a year and a half ago.

I don't. I think I at minimum need a pet with me because I freak out easily. But I do live with my mom and, for now, my sister.

When I'm out on the farm, the nearest person is usually half a mile across a pasture. No TV. No phones (except for cell phones that have such poor signal that they are not good for making calls.

It's nice and peaceful.

trigger warning:
At one point in time , not too long ago...it had been over 10 years since allowing anyone to pass through my doorway
except one time an electrician . It may have been longer than that actually , a Police interaction, with a supposable misunderstanding with a Veterans administration person, ,I had asked to speak to my Psyche doc . apparently it was her day off . Which resulted in a group of Police showing up at my door, when I had been freaked out about a Coroners office call 12 hours after my husband was murdered on a trip. Had been trying to contact him the entire time.
Misunderstanding was a report by VA people that I had done the killing, he was out of state. Police demanded entry
and searched the house after handcuffing me. On my Porch. I went into shock.. While cuffed my nose started itching, asked to remove cuffs ,then rubbed nose on my exterior wall on the porch, Then just slipped the cuffs, to itch my nose. Surprised the cops apparently .Many years later a bad neighbour called a Swat on our home. That went very badly for me. Although I remained calm . Entire time. 5 years later happened again, a dear friend of the bad neighbour. Was responsible. I did not care to engage people wanting to use our yard to do meth in the back So out of veiw of the street. Not having any support system can be hard on a Aspie.. :| . Yes living alone can be hard. Especially as you get older.. :nerdy: But had been going out as needed for stuff, even movies alone as distraction. If no police ever , might have been good. Never any criminal stuff by me or late hubby. Learned not to open door for cops or engage them ever in a convo, even through a locked door . If a ""un expected"" interaction.. even a nice polite convo. Later Utube video confirmed my observation. Always observe your own 5 th amendment rights for USA people.

I've been living on my own for 19 years. The last time someone came for a visit was November the 24th last year.

I have an aide the comes in every week or so for a few hours. A sibling will visit me once every month or every two months.

I am very content being alone most of the time. I do occasionally go out to see a movie or to pick up my prescriptions at the pharmacy. I take a walk most days.

I think the last person to come into my flat was a British Gas engineer to fit my smart meter last December.
