The first time I took creatine it felt like it absorbed all of the water in my body and made me overwhelmingly thirsty. It also made me demonstrably stronger and more capable of recovering quickly after extreme exertion.

Excessive tyrosine consumption has contributed to manic episodes in the past for me.

The only supplement I take is Caltrate (calcium, vitamin D and various small amounts of minerals). Because I've been on Depo Provera injection (contraception that lasts three months with the added bonus of stopping periods from occurring) for over 20 years, it has the effect of thinning bones, so Caltrate is the best thing I can take to stop bone loss from happening.

I also have a bone density scan every couple of years.
