Am I too old to play D&D?

I asked this question via an online search today and I found this cute video of a gal teaching her parents how to play D&D. She does a great job instructing and making it fun for an older generation. I’m considering learning how to play the game myself as I enjoy video games with similar fantasy type stories.

You're never too old for D&D.

Agrees with the above post....interesting thing to note : older folks sometimes neurons can get ? stale? .....
By doing enjoyable interactive things. Benefits are numerous .. critical thinking skills reinforced .creativity ,Short term memory,
And any social interactions can be a blessing for most anyone at any age.... Not too stressful and more mental .

That is awesome to know. As a member of gen X, we still know enough about science fiction and fantasy to participate in group gaming like that. The creativity, imagination, collaboration and mental stimulation is something I crave.

D&D is very cerebral, isn’t it? I really like the character immersion and the team collaboration of storytelling.

A hybrid! A Berserker with spell casting abilities sounds awesome! And healing potions just in case.

I had 11 different toons in my favorite video game. One of them was a dual-blade Berserker. Epic fun.

Well, if I’m unable to find one locally I’ll try to create one. It’s great to know that there is interest.

When I was in college, I had plenty of people to play with, but I avoided it like the plague.

The problem was that some of those who I knew who played it let it take over their lives.

The worst that I knew was a guy who played it so much that he didn't go to class, didn't do homework, and didn't take tests. Naturally, he flunked out. That didn't stop him -- he lived in his car in a parking lot for the next year spending all the time he could playing D&D. When he couldn't find a game, he looked pathetic.

As a grad student in math, I didn't have time for such things. On rare occasions, I would sit there and watch the others play.

I never did get into the game and don't really regret it.

I don't play DnD specifically but idk I can't imagine you could be too old for it as I don't think there is an age limit for people enjoying a bit of table top gaming. The harder part maybe is finding other people to play with.
