When I was a young man, I made an effort to ask girls out, mostly because it was expected of me, but I never enjoyed it. In fact, trying to make conversation with a stranger was an ordeal, in contrast to most guys' "meet girls, have fun" mantra.

It's a problem for anyone who'd like to have children (a desire which I've experienced, though only in passing) but apart from that, I wish I'd never bothered, so don't worry about it if you are in the same boat.

It might seem to pose a danger to the survival of autistics (which elements of the establishment would dearly like, regardless of the enormous contribution we've made to science and technology) but it turns out that female autistics have no difficulty in finding marriage partners and producing offspring, so it won't happen. It seems I'm not alone in detesting this "playing hard to get" that mothers indoctrinate their daughters with! Can you think of any other mammalian species where the females are less than cooperative where mating is concerned?

What you consider 'playing hard to get' is probably more to do with self preservation. It's not a game you play for a lot of women, it's just trying not to get hurt. A mother (or father) would be doing a poor job, I'd say, if they failed to prepare their daughters for the realities of life.

Playing hard to get is for self preservation? It's a lot more to do with scoring an ego trip, taking advantage of the male's more pointed sex drive.

Given genuine safety concerns, women often need to be cautious about who they date. It’s certainly not always true that female autistics don’t have any problem finding partners. Many autistic women are lonely, end up in abusive relationships, or both.

I could provide statistics on some of this stuff if you’re interested.

This is one of those garbage-in, garbage-out opinions. Your premise is false, so your conclusions are doomed to be false as well.

Find another way to discuss without using them - or the tired "it's more difficult for men" complaints blaming women.

Locked.
