There's so many moods to listen to. Instrumental/Jazz/Classical are great to write to. I find they facilitate creative thinking. I pretty much listen to everything except for some metal. I do like some metal though. I love lyrics too. Some music makes me cry, laugh, smile, feel good etc.

I find exploring music can help me take my mind off some things that it should not be on. It can be very relaxing or very uplifting when Im in that mood. Although I struggle to keep playlists to a small enough size. I prefer to just have one big playlist just for my enjoyment. I find it really helps redirect thoughts, open my mind, and just make me feel better.

I sometimes listen to one artist a lot or explore new music. My playlist has music from the 1920s til now. I collect vinyl but only stuff that id be sentimental about. I pretend to be a radio Dj when I play my playlist. Idk but immersing myself in music is my favorite thing to do. Also I can listen to it full blast and it will help me sleep. I can be a bit of a sensory seeker when it comes to falling asleep. Music seems to just help me stay calm as well. If I'm upset or overwhelmed.
