No actual bubble gum here, wouldn't want to annoy people with the popping noise it makes when you blow bubbles with it (I wouldn't thank anybody for doing that near me, might be OK once or twice but I think it'd get on my nerves fairly quickly, and I'd probably not want to be around them). And I don't particularly want to blow bubbles.
But I do chew unflavoured nicotine gum because it keeps me off tobacco. Used to vape but it got too much of a hassle and an expense replacing the heating coils and sourcing unflavoured e-liquid with a high enough concentration of nicotine. Don't know what I'd do without the gum. As you've guessed, I don't like or trust the flavourings.
I'd prefer natural gum to the synthetic polymer stuff they use, and I don't trust the additives and I resent the high price. I'm sure it could be done a lot cheaper and safer. I use a trick to halve the price - they sell 2mg and 4mg strength at the same price per piece, I don't need the higher strength but I get that one anyway, and bite them in half. I don't know why anybody ever buys the 2mg strength. It's not as if it's cheap.
I'm interested in gradually weaning myself onto nicotine-free gum, but can't find anything that doesn't have off-putting additives, except Glee Gum - supposed to be natural but it contains xylitol which makes you fart like mad. There should be a warning on the box. But really, there's got to be something natural without side effects that they could put into gum to sweeten it. Stevia maybe? I keep thinking about making my own gum but haven't got round to it yet.
Chewing is a major stim for me.
