Medical personnel are obligated to treat patients in most circumstances. Some exceptions are if the hospital does not have enough room or patient behavior is threatening to people in the medical facility.

Medical personal are obligated to treat people whose politics or behavior outside of the facility they find vile. If they are unable to treat such people they are in the wrong profession.

In this case the nurse who impersonated a doctor will probably be arrested but unless evidence is found that the nurses actually tried to harm Israeli patients they should not be arrested. Should is the word because I am not familiar with Australian hate speech laws.

Their firings are justified.

Yes you are correct AS. the two being interviewed by a Jewish content creator were
a) trying to pass as doctors
b) claiming to have murdered "Israeli" patients

they were both quickly identified as nurses and their names and identity were published. the NSW department of Health has banned them from every working again in nursing or any other health related field in case they try and obtain work elsewhere in NSW.

they are both quite stupid, they thought by pretending to be doctors they would hide their real identity

they were actually connected to the content creator via Omegle which is a video chat that connects people randomly. I believe they were unaware the Jewish content creator was recording them via his own camera using the platform.

It looks like one of the nurses lost 70 family members in the genocide and the video was edited, she was provoked by Israelis. So probably not antisemitism just a very human response to being a genocide victim

While medical personnel are obligated to put their emotions aside it is a very difficult thing to do, something I would be not able to do. Nurses treat enemy combatants all the time.

She could ask not to have Israeli patients assigned to her but that won’t go well. Besides being illegal there is a shortage of nurses so having nurses choose to treat who they want to is unsustainable.

If you don't treat all patients with their best in mind you are not the right person for the job.

the Israeli content creator did a couple of sneaky things
1. He clearly did not tell them he was recording
2. He wanted them to feel comfortable enough so when he triggered them they would say something provocative and he succeeded in triggering them

But the reality is these two nurses are at best stupid, Jumping on Omegle from your workplace is like playing Russian roulette with your career (not to mention your personal reputation).

One of the world's biggest content creators named ishow-speed actually built his multimillion dollar career as a teenager pranking people on Omegle. Anyone who uses Omegle knows there's a good chance their interactions will be recorded and uploaded.

It just seems like a tremendous distraction from an actual genocide taking place.

By the same token, being Palestinian and having lost 70 family members doesn't give you a free pass to incite fear in elderly Jewish patients across Australian hospitals.
