Some people say that one day we may travel faster than light, just like we traveled faster than sound claiming that they used to say that going faster than sound would never be possible and now they are saying that about going faster than light.

However, there was never any law of physics that prohibited going faster than sound. It was observed that there were things that did go faster than sound. It was merely believed that technology might never allow humans to go faster than sound. The light barrier is very different. If it could be broken, there would be something seriously wrong with our understanding of physics.

I have doubts that our version of humanity will make it that far.

Freddie Mercury was capable of travelling at the speed of light, according to the lyrics of this song.

Traveling faster than the speed of light is common in science fiction shows including Star Trek & Star Wars :nerdy:

That's how quick my thoughts are racing when I try to settle down for the night.

We also once thought we'd be living like the Jetsons by the 21st century. But instead we're living more like The Twilight Zone.

We have to tell grown adults that vaccines save lives, women, poc and lgbt people have the same rights as white hetero men, the Nazis were bad people and electing an orange turd for an American president was a horrible idea. But they don't listen. The deeper we go into the future the more humans act worse than they did in the Middle Ages.

^^^Hew-monity is getting dumber & we're becoming a dystopian society. The movie Idiocracy comes to mind :skull:

Forgot to mention that in Star Trek Enterprise they had recently broken the Warp 2 barrier which was kinda like the sound barrier or light barrier but for warp speed. In Voyager Tom broke the Warp 10 barrier & his body started rapidly evolving but it seemed more like devolving because he turned into some lizard type creature.
