I don't like sitting too close to people in general and I feel total relief when no one sits near me on the train to work. A foot away from me is ideal, but no less than 5 inches away. I feel claustrophobic and suffocated around other people. And body odor grosses me out. I wish more people gave a s**t about how they smelled, especially in smaller spaces. And why do customers stand so close to me when talking to me??! I had a woman KEEP walking towards me even after I took multiple steps backwards and told her she was in my space.

Only exceptions for me are-

Family

Close friends

People I am attracted to

I need a lot of personal space unless it’s my son or someone I’m into romantically and trust.
