Its a blackout day, we buy nothing on the 28th of February just to show the powers at be that we still have power to organize this way....so if you are able, please do not buy anything tomorrow on the 28th. Or if you aren't american don't buy any american goods tomorrow.

I know its not this time an ongoing one, so some say it may not do much good...but idk its more a point of solidarity and to see what happens if the consumers strike by not buying things.

Same.
I doubt this will do much, just as the previous boycotts did nothing, but some are saying that there will be longer boycotts later in the year.

https://www.ecommercebytes.com/2025/02/ ... e-boycott/

TikTok influencer and “meditation and mindfulness facilitator” John Schwarz, aka The One Called Jai, is credited with organizing the boycott. On the website TheOneCalledJai.com, now branded as The People’s Union USA, it states:

What we are building is not just about resisting corruption, it is about exposing it. For decades, corporations, politicians, and industries have worked together to rig the system against the American people. They have built an economy designed to exploit workers, suppress wages, and keep the majority of us in a constant state of struggle. These are the forces that have stolen our financial freedom, manipulated our government, and kept power in the hands of the wealthy elite.”

don't buy anything tomorrow! not even gas. we, the people, have got to stick together and send a message!

Am thinking this is the only way to get political peeps to take notice...hopefully.... If enough people do this it could cause ,certain powers that be to hopefully see the not buying of things will slow the economy enough to cause attention
The entire rest of the world is trying to get the President and his cronies attention, Wher it may count ! in their wallets.

Yeah Idk how useful it will be, but a lot of other people pissed about the trump administration are taking part, so I figure why not avoid spending on that day with hopefully enough other americans and see if enough people refuse to spend that day if it will even make a point. Worst case it does nothing, best case it sends a messege. But to do a longer boycott we'd probably need to find ways to provide resources to the community because not everyone can afford to buy nothing from big corps long term when there isn't a good alternative. LIke some of us living paycheck to paycheck can't always afford to only shop local and avoid walmart and king soopers/kroger and such.
