Nickalive blog

On the Nickalive blog there is an article saying that Nickelodeon is planning to RENEW SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS for SEASON 16!! !

How do we make this show FINALLY GO AWAY?!?

It is harder to get rid of than Pearl's barnacles or SpongeBob and Patrick with Squidward!

Sorry I just needed to vent...

The Simpsons (36 seasons), Family Guy (23 seasons), South Park (26 seasons) and American Dad (21 seasons) have all lasted longer.

So, with that in mind I wouldn't expect them to kill it so long as it keeps making them money.

I think the show should have ended after session 3 and the first movie, every after that is really not worth watching.

I agree, SpongeBob should have ended after the first movie, it all went downhill from there.

The creator Stephen Hillenburg wanted the show to end after 3 seasons and the first movie, but unfortunately he had sold the rights to Nickelodeon and they didn't want the money-train to end. Hillenburg left because of this, although he did continue to occasionally contribute until his health failed and his death in 2018.

I agree, the first 3 seasons were the best and afterwards the downward spiral began. I found seasons 4-7 decent, probably because Stephen still was involved, but after that it really started to go downhill. I can't handle anything after that really.

I have not only never seen the show, I have never been the least bit interested in seeing the show.

I liked that show back in the earlier or maybe mid 2000's when I was a kid, but after that it kind of started going downhill I thought so I'm surprised it's still going.

I believe what has happened is Nickelodeon has voluntarily imprisoned themselves with SpongeBob SquarePants!! !

What do I mean by that?

I mean that Nick has basically found themselves trapped by this show and IT'S THEIR OWN DAMN FAULT!

Had they created a contingency plan in the event that something terrible happens to SpongeBob, they wouldn't be in the mess they are in right now!

The only way for Nickelodeon to break free from their imprisonment state is to create a NEW CARTOON that has the power and capability of overthrowing SpongeBob SquarePants...

As much as I love the show Spongebob, I can only tolerate that show to a point. However, I like the movies a lot better because I think they are funnier.

However, I would rather that Hasbro brought back the MLP from the 4th generation because the new ponies are annoying.
