I haven't heard anything. Currently the focus in NZ is on China, for interfering with the Cook Islands and signing an illegal agreement with leader there without any permission from NZ, nor even informing the NZ Government.(people born there are automatically NZ citizens and they are outraged that this agreement was done behind their back by one man who is sort of a mayor in the Cook Island. ) NZ was also alarmed at China suddenly sending war ships to the Tasman Sea (beside NZ) and "testing" weapons there.

These hostile actions are a great surprise as NZ and China have had excellent relationships in trading, NZ accepts lots of Chinese as permanent residents, so it was very much a surprise when China dropped diplomacy and did not even inform the NZ Minister for Foreign Affairs. Some speculate that the Chinese did these things because Australia recently joined Aukcus which is dominated by the USA, so it is complicated.
