"24 Things People With ADHD Thought Were Totally 'Normal' Until A Neurotypical Person Said 'Um, No, Actually'"

OK. I'm not ADHD so I'm an outsider for this article. But I thought I'd share it.

That's uh a surprisingly relatable list. 8O

The part about keeping to-do lists short is so real! I hate to-do lists. When I make one, I no longer want to do any of it. Instead I prefer to use the 'I might as well' method. 'Since I'm going downstairs to make a cup of tea, I might as well take my cups down from my room and put the dishwasher on'.

It does mean that sometimes I get in a situation like that one where the poster needed the toilet but was going to do X, Y, Z first. Kind of similar to how in The Sims you can stack tasks. I do have to remind myself sometimes 'Wait, I don't need to do all that first, I can clear my stack'.

Yeah when I was a uni student I used to have coffee to calm down when I was stressed. So, mood.

Although surely most people have songs in their head all the time. I always wake up with a song in my head and the songs flow into each other and sometimes overlap.

Music definitely helps as a motivator and yes, it's so difficult not to drum! That's why office work can be difficult. You just want to spin around and drum on the desk but you can't. This email does not find me well.

The sensory overload as well and the fuzziness ...yes! Like tuning out of a radio channel.
