One of my "special" interests is Warpaint in fictional media. Here are a few of my favorites.

This clip from Rio 2 during the beautiful creatures scene where the birds celebrate Jewel's return and paint their faces to preform some sort of cool tribal dance. I like the part with Eduardo, the old blue macaw, painting his face and beak. Those stripes look pretty cool.

The rite of passage scene from Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is one of my favorite scenes of the whole movie. The part with Alex and the cubs painting themselves were pretty cool. Alex's warpaint was really cool, from the details on his face to the cool comic/tragic masks on his chest. Also, the African designs on his arms were a nice touch to. I felt like it was symbolism with how he's trying to connect with his African roots while also being a performer at heart. (Skip to 1:10)

Finally, Another scene from Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa has the famous volcano scene. I've noticed that most of the animals were painted white. How they found the resources to make white paint with the waterhole dried up? I have no idea.

What do you think? Which one's your favorite?
