closed my reddit account after the stuff about pay-walling but also just being on it and like reading about bleh things and keep hearing about stuff I don't want to know/is upsetting. I mainly used reddit as the only traditional social media but not anymore. facebok and stuff is eh so is twitter and others.

Sometimes I go there for information I'm looking for if it turns up in a Web search, but not otherwise. I've seen some threads where they're really nasty to each other so I wouldn't dream of creating an account there or posting anything for those jerks to piss on.

I don't like the Reddit terminology either. I neither know nor care what a "Repl" is. To me, all social media is just topics with titles.

My pet peeve is about Facebook though. They don't have titles to their threads and if you leave the page for a minute then when you come back they've "refreshed" it and what you were reading is gone. If you didn't bookmark the permalink you'll probably never find it again. And it's awash with ads and stupid suggestions and gimmicks unless you have a good plugin to block it. End of rant.

Ive never really understood Reddit. I might be the terminology. It seems to try to comine wiki style updatable info with discussion based stuff.
