Kumanthong Rituals - voodoo
I'm working on new concept that I hope will be widely accepted by society,
It's reinstating children's rights and as first test sample is to have elite Israeli army troop that uses dart guns to bring children in for detention for throwing stones or being involved in adult issues. These juveniles to be placed on programs outline safety and laws, and ensure this behaviour stops.
I'm not sure full details of how to implement this but to protect children we also aim to stop them from placing themselves in harm's way. I just mentioning it here to get idea of people's response to such an initiative.
This is when this was brought to my attention 2,000 Infant Corpses Trafficked for Kumanthong Rituals, Government Urgently Revises Laws
It's form of witchcraft, and use not voodoo dolls but actual babies. My first tired response was to bring in priest, but I know it's hard topic and so by people knowing this what's going on it helps greatly to shut-down this down.
The future must accomodate children, we must try enforce their rights and continue to work towards future laws that hopefully somewhat more effective.
I would suggest the biggest threat to children (much worse than black magic rituals) is human trafficking. there is concerted effort by many international organisations in cooperation with government agencies aiming to stamp out child exploitation.
On the subject of black magic rituals, these practices are/should be managed by local government. I very much doubt countries like Thailand would want to listen to a white south African passing judgement on their ancient tribal culture. In many countries what we in the west label as "voodoo" (which to me is used as a slur) is based on culture that goes back to their earliest history of village/folk belief. Some practices including animal sacrifice may be shocking to our western eyes but acceptable within a cultural context.
So Thailand banning kumanthong is never going to happen as it's a household deity of Thai folk religion. It is believed to bring luck and fortune to the owner if properly revered. If you go to any thai house they have a small house on stilts in the front for the deity to live. they make offerings of joss sticks and food to the deity. So its important to be respectful to other cultures and let them manage any deviation that puts their children at risk.
