Constantly waiting for the other show to drop

Getting made redundant from work

Getting a heart attack

Hit by a car

End up homeless

Something like that

Uptight scared exhausted dissociated misunderstood pathetic hateful wounded

Certainly I'm usually anticipating some crap or other might happen to me. It's like hyper-vigilance, only not so intense. Just a vague feeling of "it's been a good day so far, I wonder how long it'll be before some bastard spoils it." On most days nothing very bad happens, but sometimes it does. Like a feeling of sitting on a time bomb.

I think you mean "waiting for the other shoe to drop."

Me too! It's like you're me in another body. I'm over here looking at the words you wrote, while you're over there looking at the words I wrote. And, we're both having very similar experiences. Sup!
