Does anyone else wear some unusual clothing combinations.
Very few people will see how I dress at night, but if it is late and I'm not yet in bed, I'm walking around with a denim vest over my pajamas.
Why?
Because I like having the pockets in the vest to put my pens and pencils in.
In my left vest pocket, I have four pens of different types, one mechanical pencil, and one of the pencil style erasers (a round eraser the the length of the tube that you slide down as you use it up). In my right vest pocket, I have a small notebook used to write small notes (of course) and a stylus for my cell phone.
I tried putting my cell phone in the right pocket, but that was rather clumsy so I went back to wearing it in a belt holster made for the cell phone.
I love it.
I wore holes in the elbows of my old denim jacket. I will probably order some patches for it the next time I see any, but I'm tempted of hiring a seamstress to take the sleeves off and convert it into a vest. That would be great because then I would have six pockets instead of just two. Two of the pockets in the vest are on the inside and I like to carry my wallet in one. And I could go back to carrying an led flashlight in my upper right pocket.
In either case, it is really useful to be able to wear a denim vest with my pajamas.
I don't know about unusual but I've recently started dressing for the outdoors when I'm indoors and it is really cosy
It started because I simply wanted to cut down on my heating bill but it is really comfy
I've got fleece joggers, a long sleeve thermal vest, a short sleeve t-shirt, a lumberjack shirt with fleece lining and a padded gilet
I've not had the heating on until about 6:30 in an evening for weeks and I've cut my gas bill down by about 20 quid a month

I wear what is practical/comfortable for the most part, and how it may affect others is of little interest. I remember a girl in college commenting how I made no attempt to colour coordinate, an idea that had never occurred to me. I pay more attention to such things, nowadays, not from having any desire to conform, but just to avoid looking "odd", as I prefer not to attract attention to myself. Being a tall white haired bean pole, where the majority of males tend to be short swarthy and wide, makes that a tall order anyway, so I don't obsess on it, nor anything else to do with fashion.
It's not just clothes; I recall when I was allocated an office cupboard which was too big for the space available. I offered to swap it for a smaller one, but the guy refused what to me seemed a good deal, as it was not colour coordinated with his furniture!
I note that it is fashionable now for young men around here to have shapes worked into their hair, and men's hair dressers have sprung up all over, to cater for this, and they are packed! My interaction with hair dressers ended when I realised that, for the price of just two haircuts, I could buy my own trimmer...
SNAP !
Well..maybe not so stick insectish since I stopped nicotine and put on 20 kg in 2 weeks.
I miss being able to vanish by turning sideways.
I'm glad I have someone to tell me not to wear a patterned shirt with Camo pants or if my jacket and shirt clash.

I wear a pink cellphone case on my pants & shorts when I go out. Me & my girlfriend both have the same kind of phone & we got the same kind of cases except mine was black & hers was pink. Cass switched to a different type of case shortly after we got them because the other case was more practical for her. My case was getting very worn & going to fall apart soon so Cass gave me her case. I don't care about the color. I have some colorblindness & only know it's pink because she told me. My shot in the dark guess about the color would have been dark blue. It works for me & I got it for free instead of having to buy a new case
I always wear short sleeved cloths at home even in the middle of winter. When I'm cold at home I get the heater to run instead of putting on long sleeved cloths. When the weather is comfortable or hot outside I wear shorts. Unfortunately the pockets on shorts are not that deep & are kind of lose & it caused me to lose my wallet on the bus last year. Luckily not much cash was in my wallet & I canceled my credit cards & eventually got a new ID. I got the idea to wear a fanny pack when going out in shorts. Cass had one she was given a long time ago & never worn. I tried using it & it's cumbersome for me to put on & put my phone in with my motor-skills issues. I don't bring a lot when going out but I don't want to carry a backpack or hold a bag in my hand just to bring my phone, wallet, keys, & multi-tool. I'm beginning to think a small purse would work a lot better for those things with my issues My concern is the stigma against guys doing that.

I can't even imagine what that means. In any event, that sounds too fashionable for me.
It's how most of my clothing would looked like before I started limiting my wardrobe and plan a lazy wear that I can use indoors, outdoors, as pajamas, as something I can wear to do other works, etc.
Easiest way to do it was just match the color scheme.
But this is me and living in the tropics, where there's no such thing as seasonal clothing except for the raincoats and rubber boots pair, and the bare minimum within legal limits beachwears.
Long sleeves in summer? Not unusual. Some skins burn and they can't afford sunblock or sunscreen.
Short shorts and sleeveless during stormy months? They're out to get free shower. If they're unfortunate, a free swim then.
I'd take an umbrella with whatever available lazywear set I have.
