^Yeah there of other types and levels of sex besides penetration!! !

The main purpose of penetrative sex is procreation

In other words, creating children and a family!

I would say that penetration is the highest possible level of sexual activity (if this was on a scale from 1 to 10, it would be Level 10 FOR SURE!! ! ! ! !) because it is the most riskiest and other kinds of sexual activity like foreplay (touching and kissing without penetration) dry humping (sex with clothes on) & masturbation (sex with yourself instead of a partner) are at the lowest possible levels because they are safe and don't result in either pregnancy or STD's (sexually-transmitted diseases)

Women who actively seek hookups seem almost exclusively interested in getting railed, and they swipe right on men who seem most likely to do that to their satisfaction.

After some consideration, I would say that casual sex and hookups are not "the norm" for young people, however it's not "abnormal" for a young person to experience those things.

While this might be true for Americans or Australians, there are cultures where women are fearful of losing their virginity due to stigma or shame who enjoy touch/sensory sensation with a man without penetration. the sky is the limit in terms of what a couple can do in this situation minus the concern over Stds, pregnancy or social stigma.

Not sure about that. In such a conservative culture, for an unmarried couple to get caught doing such a thing is probably equally bad whether or not they engaged in penetrative sex.

I sometimes feel bad because of the lack of experience but doesn't appeal to me to hookup and have sex with someone casually who I don't know well. It just feels as though it's the norm for people when they are young. It also feels as though everyone during the college and uni years were having sex casually whereas in my 20s I wasn't. I also seem to get quite worried about stories I hear about sexually transmitted diseases which I know can be prevented with protection but that still doesn't stop my concerns about it.

You don't need to penetrate to have sex/good time.

Heck, you don't need to have another person to have sex
