If you are autistic and rarely go out, an effective method of prevention may be to wear an N95 mask like healthcare workers whenever you are in potentially infectious places.

And get vaccinated if you have not. Everybody infected so far never was vaccinated.

My worry is not only about measles but about polio and other diseases thought to be vaccinated out of existence. The reason these diseases appear to be gone may not be because decades-old vaccines are still nearly 100 percent effective at protecting you from catching and spreading these diseases but because there were very few hosts and little place for them to spread. Now, due to the success of the anti-vax movement, this "herd immunity" is becoming partial herd immunity. Right now, outbreaks of these diseases are localized among the unvaccinated. Now that government policy is moving in the direction of making these vaccines optional, there will be more hosts and more targets. There will be a lot more targets if these vaccines are not 100 percent effective decades later, and more opportunity for variants to develop that render those decades-long vaccines at least partially useless.

There's been an outbreak in Canada, too. I guess the MAGAmaniacs are blaming all of this on immigrants, but of they'd never blame it on not getting vaccinated. Heavens, no.

All their disease fear-porn is completely ridiculous. There's no way any of this works again where they bait Trump Vance and Musk into doing large-scale shutdowns again for any of this stupidity that tanks the nation on this behalf for liberals.

Even that creepy Dr. Hotez who replaced Fraudci said "we have a ton of Viruses ready to go, on Day 1 (on Jan 20th)". I really had no idea illnesses and virueses turn on and off in intensity depending on how much the Establishment likes or dislikes certain Presidents and tries to shank them with bogus crises. It doesn't look like it's happening though, where Trump and Musk take the bait on any of this and start shutting down any agriculture or anything.

Outside of a few locales shutdowns are not going to happen again for a long time. People could be literally dying in the streets and enough people will believe it is a false flag so even if the government orders shutdowns they will be unable to enforce it. Even in that extreme situation a large percentage of people won’t take any vaccine offered.

I can't speak to it too much in detail, but Birx was trying to get Trump in his first few days to go ham on killing chickens even more like Biden was doing for Bird Flu in January to make Egg prices to blame Trump on spike through the roof even more, which Trump didn't take the bait on, correctly and wisely. It definitely seems to me like Trump 2.0 has learned exactly what these liberal saboteur "experts" are exactly trying to do to him to shank him.

So Biden arranged all those chicken deaths not because of bird flu, but because he wanted Trump to deal with the resulting increased egg prices?
It's difficult to take such an assertion with any seriousness.

And it didn't stop Trump from unwisely claiming he'd get the prices down on day one of his term though, did it.
How did that work out?

They were running through killing chickens like they were Jason Voorheis the first couple weeks in January because it was a mostly-phony part of the liberal narrative that peope only voted for Trump over "the price of eggs"; hence massacring 19 million chickens in a way completely out of Trump's control with the superficial excuse of "Bird Flu" to make the prices of eggs spike on him early on in his term, so fake-arse liberal pundits like David Halfman would have something to laugh about like this over this.

But it didn't matter, because regular Americans hate liberals so much, that people were going to vote Trump regardless of "the price of eggs" and phony liberal academic narratives.

Then, like I said, they tried to get Trump to basically take the bait again and massacre most of the remaining chickens over "bird flu", which he wisely didn't take the bait on and didn't do, as to not create a crippling poultry shortage over a rubbish fearmongered phantom disease.

There's nothing out there with any of this that they're trying to pretend there is; "bird flu", measles, polio, etc; that's any more menacing than it's ever been; it's only just this fear-porn crap they're stirring up to try and spark something against Trump.

No, it seems that enough people have decided not to get vaccinated that these outbreaks are to be expected.
One could do the math and predict when these outbreaks will occur based on the percentage of people vaccinated.

I do a lot of gardening so keep my tetanus shots up to date.

If the "Vaccines" work so well and one has regularly had all their shots and 14 boosters like they are instructed like a dog, then I don't even see why they are so worried about "outbreaks"; and all this shite should just be contained to the Grand Unwashed anyway and there should be no worry about it.

The Connecticut Audubon society recommended not feeding the birds for two months in 2021, due to mysterious bird kills in Maryland and Virginia, so I stopped filling my bird feeders at that time.
