This subject can have some passionate views. I hope they are willing to consider secondary effects such as brain swelling that can occasionally result from a vaccination. Should this happen, one might expect the possibility to brain damage.

This is one reason I prefer to use the term Aspergers as "autism" has always been descriptive of brain damage or malformation.

They will probably put Wakefield on the panel since he is the one who came up with the Vaccines cause Autism message. He does live in the USA and we see that they don't care if you are a citizen or not to work for the government if you believe the message they are saying.

I would support this study if it would be based on science but I highly doubt it will be considering the Trump administration does not believe in climate change. This so-called study seems like another smear/blame/distraction tactic. I'm hoping there will be some backlash from the pharmaceutical companies against the Trump administration when their vaccine sales decline.

I don't like this as I know how Maga operates

The whole point of this is to throw out all the legitimate research that has been done so far in order to promote the false idea that 1) autism is bad and 2) is caused by vaccines. They want to get rid of modern medicine, and autistic people. There is no silver lining to this.

Yup, remember the Trump admin declared just last month that autism and other disabilities are a 'dire threat to the American people and our way of life' as part of Trump's EO to 'make America healthy again'.

It's all going to be nonsense pseudoscience to push long debunked and dangerous claims and should absolutely not be taken seriously by anyone and actively fought against.

I highly doubt that vaccines cause autism but I wonder if they may exasperate common symptoms. My mom told me that I had quite serious reactions to my childhood vaccinations.

My hypothesis is that what people see as vaccines causing autism (it so clearly is genetic) is that autistic traits get more intense when under stress... such as having an adverse reaction to a vaccine.

I couldn't agree more.

Same here. I also think some autistic traits show up as kids age slightly & go from babies to toddlers & such or autism prevents them from meeting certain milestones at the same age as their NT peers. The parents may assume/suspect that the vaccine caused their kid's autism when the kids were born with autism but were too young to show the autism symptoms before they received their vaccines. As our member Fnord would say~ "Correlation does not equal causation".

I think this highlights some of the reason I continue to use Aspergers instead of Autism. Classical autism was always brain damage or malformation. Even Hans Asperger thought that the reason for the four boys he studied failing to demonstrate social integration was because of some defect that might be attributable to some form of autism.

In the 1960s it was hypothesized that "Minimal Brain Dysfunction" was responsible for what would be called ADHD.

There can be challenges for someone whose neurology buries them in an avalanche of sensory and cognitive processing demands. And while this may be sufficient for National Socialists to have them killed, most learn to function well enough over time.

Calling this "autism" just continues the view that we are defective. I think it is possible that among the various side effects that a vaccination can produce, there is a possibility that cerebral harm may be one effect of brain swelling. This would produce symptoms similar to a degree of classical autism but not Aspergers.

I'd imagine some of it is also coincidental. Kids take awhile to show autism features, so they notice the changes around when they typically have received some vaccines.

My mom thought I was autistic before I received any vaccines but my GP doc didn't beleive I was on the spectrum & said "Nick's just being Nick". After I was tested for autism at 20 my paperwork said I had Aspergers Personality due having Schizoid Personality Disorder & nothing on the autism spectrum  Since medical doctors & even the autism specialist don't seem to know much about autism or agree on what autism is, I highly doubt that docs & specialist could ever agree on what causes autism.

I hope they recruit us and give participation checks. I'm going to put this out there just in case.

Dear CDC,

I am autistic and have been vaccinated a lot. Let me know if you need to use my data for invalid or misleading conclusions to cause chaos and mistrust of the government in order to wither away all democratic institutions to consolidate power even further. Also, I will save you time because I'm already a participant and come with my own number for maximum efficiency.
