I am sad because I went into business with my dad years ago. He said I would own the company 100 percent. I have about 200,000 to 250,000 dollars in a company bank account. My dad wont let me use that money to hire a landman for my very own business venture in the oilfield. i want to hire a landman so I can get overrides and make big money every month so I can finally move out.
However my dad is now making me use my own retirement savings to fund my land business. My dad has a history of making promises to me all the time that he has no intentions whatsoever of keeping just to shut me up. My dad has lied to me for years in a similar way. He denies making that agreement with me. He says the company and the money is his when he gave me his word that they were 100 percent mine. Take it from me Dont ever go into business with family and if you do be sure to get everything in writing....I learned that the hard way. I had to go into business with my family because of the 2,000 dollar rule. I cant believe my dad is holding my 200,000 to 250,000 dollars hostage. My parents have messed me over yet again. Crying.......
