Chuds sued for the right to discriminate, I guess they didn't expect they'd ever face any discrimination.

Didn't these jenkem huffers sue to be allowed to discriminate? Well, now they want to ensure MAGA hat wearers are a protected class, protected from any and all discrimination.

^ Hilarious that the Democrats are now defending the rights of businesses to arbitrarily discriminate against people on providing basic services. I thought this was one of the core things they used to be against, like with civil rights and all this....

When it comes to the gay-wedding cakes thing that was such a big deal I would say in the Obama time 12 and 13 years ago when they were doing these test cases, the issues was never whether-or-not in countries like the USA and the UK if a gay couple could just go into a bakery and buy a cake right off the shelf, but the issue was if an establishment had to go the next level and provide a service like a custom cake or actually cater the wedding. If it goes to the next level like someone's going to make some conservative wedding photographer photograph a BDSM wedding when there are 100 other options available in the area, then this is when it's not really about discrimination and testing this any longer, but something else.

I guarantee though if the Democrats return to power and are able to get their narrative and priorities again, they'll be right back to screaming the other way if the roles are reversed and something they think discrimination is happening if people that profile the way they like are somehow getting thrown out of restaurants in rural areas for one reason or another, and stuff like this.

Chuds always want to be the martyrs, whether they're being denied service or doing the denying. They're not serious people and their martyr complex doesn't deserve to be taken seriously.

Why does a liberal arbitrarily have the right to discriminate business service on the grounds of someone being a "Chud" or not ? Who determines if someone is or isn't a "Chud"... I don't even know what exactly the test is for this ?


If someone was to do something like walk into some bakery and ask them to make some kind of Trump-themed cake, a liberal bakery could absolutely refuse that; but in no way is this activity of just refusing basic business to anyone they arbitrarily deem as a "Trump supporter" or "chud" is legal.

In no way based on US-discrimination-code is this current activity of refusing basic service to "MAGA-chuds", aka "political affiliation", ok.

As far as I am aware, there is no law against discrimination based on political affiliation. Maybe there SHOULD be such laws in at least some contexts (e.g. food stores, hospitals, and medical offices), but currently there aren't.

On the other hand, given the intense polarization of today's political climate, it might make sense for some bars and restaurants to have a dress code forbidding attire that either advocates for or denounces, or is otherwise strongly associated with, any political office holder or candidate, as a way to prevent brawls between customers. To be fair, this should apply to all politicians of any persuasion.

The backlash isn't just towards Republicans. The Democratic Party is absolutely despised for behaving like controlled opposition.

I reluctantly conclude that today's Democrats are in the same position as yesterday's Whigs.
