Anyone here familiar with and enjoy Rose Of Versailles? I'm getting into this series, and I am loving it. This style of anime/manga really isn't for me but something about this show just sticks with me. I haven't felt these types of emotions before when watching media I enjoy, the emotions feel different feel different than any movie I love that makes me emotional. I feel I'm only supposed to be emotional when watching media aimed at men that sheds manly tears. (Gladiator or Braveheart for example)

I have not finished it yet since I'm going to start back at episode 21. My heart keeps getting this aching feeling as it goes on.

I haven't seen it, but I think Lucky Star makes a reference to it. Konata gets obsessed with it and starts talking very formally to her friends.

Is it about the French Revolution?

Have you seen the 2012 film version of Les Miserables? You may enjoy that as well. It isn’t manga but the story is similar.
