My mind is full of magic and poetry. My perception is close to infinity. I see heaven in wild flowers. I am connected to every fibre of the world around me, the high wind, the blue sky. I can feel the earth turning.
It's the right planet. I am right.
People try to perceive me, poor people trained by society. To compare, to expect, to judge. They don't see me. They see what society tells them to see. The unquestioned norms, the patriachal parcels, the polluting power structures.
Could it be, strange people, that you are on the wrong planet?

velvet morning, Welcome to Wrong Planet.

Many people on this site, feel like they exist on the Wrong Planet. It is like there are two side to humans.
But that is actually true. We have two halves. One exist on the left side of our skull and the other on the right. They are two very different brains. Many people exist with a left side dominant brain. But some exist with a right side dominant brain. The right side is quite unique and produce people who are great poets, writers, story tellers, musicians, painters, and even scientist. They are known as free thinkers.

Hey Jimmy,
thanks for your thoughts.
In fact, I also feel like I am on the wrong planet, considering that modern life is not at all designed for autistic people. What I wanted to say is that Planet Earth could be perfectly fine for autistic people if societies were built differently. Everyone could benefit from neurodiverse societies.

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

You make some good points. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that NTs are on the wrong planet, I've always felt like autists tend to share a lot more in common with other animals and the natural world than NTs. In that sense we are closer to the way the world was meant to be, while NTs are more of an aberration. After all, it is NTs who are destroying the world right now.

I say this with no bad thoughts towards NTs. Many of them are great people. I only mean that while we might not fit well in society, it's they who don't fit well on this planet as a whole.

But your post reminds me of Skinner.

I don't miss the customers at work who were worried about talking to "DEI hires" because I had a very feminine voice.

Society may be wrong but it thinks it's right, which is why I feel like I'm on the wrong planet.

Society thinks people who are loners are dangerous and psychopathic and that it is normal and healthy to want to be around people all the time, even loud, sweaty, germy obnoxious people.

Society thinks thinks all humans should be the same and think, speak, and look the same, and agree with other people no matter how trivial or foolish their opinions are.

Society thinks that if you are interested in something targeted to an audience younger than yourself, like kids' cartoons or toys, you are either very intellectually disabled or a pedo. Or both.

Society loves to believe that all adults, especially women, should be married, have at least two children, drive cars and have real jobs. If you don't, you're worthless and a waste of resources.

Yes, society is very very wrong, but it refuses to wake up and realize this or do anything, and that's why this planet we were wrongly born on is doomed. :skull:

I think you might be close to right. But society contains some bad actors. They see black and say it is white. They see white and say it is black. They exist to cause harm.

You wrote, "I am connected to every fibre of the world around me, the high wind, the blue sky. I can feel the earth turning." I heard someone else say that. Her name was Jill Bolte Taylor, PhD. Her second book "Whole Brain Living" explained alot.
