Do you think music helps you process strong feelings?
So I'm doing a bunch of writing on sensitivity. Not from books, or research but from life and what I intuit.
And one thing that's been helping me cope since teenage hood was music. I've been drawing since I could ever hold anything in my hands so art in general have been my safe place. But after studying art, and exhibiting and all and ending myself into a sever burnout i started hating visual arts- mostly becasue of the social component and how people treat it as a product while for me it was an escape- even an addicion at some point when I treated it more important then life itself. so gave it up.
but music (especially listening) helped me process challanges of going through life in isolation without any friendly people or support. Even lately i started singing a lot, and the more i opened to it my voice even changed. i can sing deeper and need just the right song so that the sound moves through me as i sing along and it's like it relaxes soe emeotions. like i can listen to a song for hours ona. look now i can also sing many times (for as long as i have energy). in short, it's cool. anyone too feel that music and sound can help?
