I don't know if that's a good thing, b/c it is cash, or if it is a bad thing b/c it is insulting.

He flashed me a stack of $100 bills. I tried not to look. I find it hard to imagine he earns or has a lot of $$$.

He offered me $20 and i shook my head, b/c i thought he would want something in return. Then he put $3 cash on the empty seat next to mine.

just b/c i haven't taken a shower for over two years, does not "prove" that i am homeless.

as of yesterday, i still have not gotten made redundant. last year, earned $25600 (after taxes and 401k and et cetera)

it reminded me of how, sometimes @ work, a customer offers me a tip and i correctly tell them "tips not allowed" and then they put it in my apron, in the shopping cart, or on the register. (i could just imagine my stupid lil boss telling me that she was making me redundant for accepting a tip, even though the customer left the tip in the shopping cart). and NO insisting "you are not going to get fired." unless you are precognitive, you do not know what is going to happen before it happens. and NO insisting that i take the tip. WHEN home depot has the nerve to make my worthelss corpse redundant, it might take four years or longer to get the next minimum wage gig.

I read a news story a couple a years ago about Bob Dylan deciding to visit a friend that worked as a music producer. He took a walk to his friends house in Beverly Hills. When Dylan found out that his friend wasn't there he sat down on his front porch waiting for him to come home. The neighbours thought Bob Dylan was homeless and called the cops. When Bob Dylan joined an arts class in the 1970's the teacher offered him to sleep in the studio if Dylan helped out with tidy up the place after the other students had left.

That’s a wild situation, honestly. It’s crazy how people can make assumptions based on looks or circumstances, like the idea that not showering for a while automatically means you're homeless. But hey, the fact that you declined the money shows you're not just accepting handouts from anyone, and that’s your choice. It reminds me of stories where famous people like Bob Dylan get mistaken for homeless folks. At the end of the day, no one should judge based on appearance alone.

Mrs peel

The most recent shower: February 27, 2023

Have not taken a shower for over two years

My personal record

Not objectively impressive, but amazing for me personally

Been working at home Depot for four and a half years

Still not made redundant

Live alone

Haven't gotten sick since April last year

Rarely been getting sick lately. Since coronavirus. It is not frequency intensity duration. Not that bad

On the other hand, exhausted all the time.

Struggling to stay awake on the way to work and before work in the locker room

So many idiots make me scared and exhausted

Overpowered outnumbered outsmarted

Haven't washed hair either

Two to four loads of laundry per week

Wash clothes after wearing them one day. Exception, shoes, jackets, hat, belt, pajamas

The whole home Depot is so filthy that it doesn't matter if I failed to take a shower

A lil proud of it. Not an STEM degree or even LinkedIn accomplishments. But I don't have that many accomplishments, so this is one of them
