Hello. My name is Luke and I am 31 and from the UK.

I have been diagnosed with a high functioning form of Autism at a young age. I am still struggling myself socially and fitting in with the current peers of the current world today.i have strong social anxiety disorder and selective mutism.

I do enjoy my fitness during the day and gaming during the night. I also love music including production and recently taken up DJ'iing. I do some video work to occasionally.

I am in a really bad place and been referred to this community by a suicide prevention group where I keep struggling with constant thoughts of suicide. Hopefully to find some positivity in here to keep me going strong.

Nice to meet you all in here and hopefully I fit in here very well.

Welcome to WP! I hope it provides you some helpful diversions.

In my experience there will be good times and there will be bad times. When you are in a bad place you definitely want to keep going so you can get the heck out of that bad place. You don't want to stay there!

For diversion, maybe you can get some TV or movie in those forums. (For a recent funny one, maybe you can find a ridiculous movie I recently came across.)

Mr.LD Welcome to Wrong Planet.

You wrote that you are experiencing great stress currently and need a little help. You also wrote that you "enjoy my fitness during the day and gaming during the night. I also love music"

You are not broken, you are different. Humans are much more complex then most people understand. That is because we have multiple brains. One exist on the left side of our skull and the other on the right side. You have a right side dominant brain. As a result, you possess certain skills. Skills that others do not have or possess. Music is one of you skills.

At the moment you are under severe stress. There is a solution for that. It consist of two parts. These simply put are Sleep and Exercise. The human body needs sleep to restore and reset itself each night. But not just any sleep but deep sleep. You need a total of 2 hours of REM and deep NREM sleep each night to restore yourself. This can become very difficult for us as we get older. You must find a way to obtain the ideal sleep environment for yourself. As a young man 50 years ago, I purchased a heated waterbed and that gave me the ability to have a good nights sleep. But you also must be able to make your sleep environment perfect for sleep. You have to eliminate all the noise and lighting and anything that subtracts you from having a good sleep.

The second part to restore your brain is exercise. You need at least 30 minutes of strenuous exercise each day. You wrote that you enjoy your fitness routine. This is very important because this exercise can restore you brain. As we get older, many of us do not get the exercise we need. I am 76 years old. I generally walk up and down a steep hill for an hour a day and that replenishes my body. But sometimes I go to town and go to the YMCA and swim a mile. Even at my age I can swim a mile (1.6 km). I just wear a pair of high quality flippers.

Fitness is fun! I used to run ultra marathons but these days I'm not doing the necessary mileage, mostly due to a weakened left knee.

Fitness is excellent and therapeutic for mental health.
