Micromanagement/scrutiny/cross examination has suddenly skyrocketed @ home depot.

constantly afraid of getting made redundant.

"at will" employer

a couple weeks ago, Flooring Associate John M got made redundant. after that, he won "employee of the month". :D

been working there four years five months, and all the head cashiers said i do a good job. all of a sudden, nothing i do is good enough.

(rolls eyes)

It sounds like your workplace is a bit toxic. I am sorry that you have to endure this.

yesterday, a customer gave me five bucks for loading about ten bags of chicken manure.

home depot (allegedly) instantly makes anyone caught taking tips redundant.

i've taken plenty of tips and still not made redundant thus far.

maybe tomorrow.

those idiots keep making up new laws, and enforcing them like micromanagement, scrutiny, and cross examination.

on the other hand, the front end supervisor a couple weeks ago, told the assistant manager that the FES earns under $30 hour, and i earn $21 hour, and head cashiers earn $22. so that's not much more than me. none of those morons are living the "high life" and all of them are eligible for government subsidized health insurance. so i could not really get too self righteous.

january 2022 to july 2024, went behind the building plenty of times. july 2024, current supervisor angela had the nerve to tell me not to do that. just b/c (former) supervisor Sadiq told her. (rolls eyes). however, before then, plenty of managers and supervisors had seen me go behind the building and not one of them said anything.

saturday, supervisor angela had the nerve to tell me that i could not wear sweatpants or roll the pants legs up to knees. however, been wearing sweatpants since 2023 or so.

the micromanagement is out of control. those idiots act like if they do not micromanage, the whole home depot will burn down. however, i've been doing that job four and a half years and counting, and nothing drastic has happened, that otherwise would not have happened.

the walkie talkie gives me a heart attack every time it goes off. otherwise the parking lot too loud to hear the walkie talkies.

since 2020 they said they were getting new walkie talkies. not til 2025 did they get new walkie talkies. they're much better.

It could be

Something other servants get away with, and I get made redundant for

Something I did, but isn't bad or wrong.

Something I did that was bad or wrong, but not nearly bad enough to justify getting made redundant

Something someone else did and the boss thought I was guilty

Nobody even thought I was guilty but they still wanted to get rid of me

Miscommunication

Anything like that

in the news, plenty of companies are doing massive layoffs and firings.

costs skyrocketing.

3/13/2025, even tattletale tom confided in me that he got called to the ASM office and asked if i got called too.

constantly afraid i did something that someone misunderstood or something like that.

Every time I try to clock in or clock out, I am afraid the time clock will tell me that I got made redundant

Every time someone has the nerve to tell me to go to the ASM office or to wait for a supervisor or ASM , I get scared that those idiots had the nerve to make my worthless corpse redundant

At this point I need constant reassurance

The worry, paranoia and fear has had a drastic impact on sleep and litterbox and blood pressure

(Rolls eyes)
