Did you ever figure it out, bring it up to a doctor, or anything else that would help you develop some insight on it?

Yes, I have brought it up to medical professionals before. I told a psychiatrist in 2009 but he didn't know what I was talking about and I didn't use the term visual snow back then as I didn't know that myself, at that time.

I brought it up more recently to a neurologist who I see for an unrelated neurological disorder and he seemed to believe me and put that I have it on one of my hospital letters.

However, "visual snow syndrome" is not currently a diagnosis on the NHS (National Health Service) in the UK, it is more so in the realms of research at the moment, rather than being widely recognized within healthcare.

If the noise had been evident in particular directions I would expect a detect portal spell has become entangled with an "unhide".

I'd suggest a #7 detangler and stick to standard reveals
